Our names are Luis and Anne, and we are early retirees who have been married for thirty-three years. We have a passion for traveling, especially during the cold winter months of New England, where we have owned our own home for the past thirty years. We are non-smokers, neat, reliable and very trustworthy. Luis worked for the state department of transportation for twenty-two years, and Anne was employed as a reading teacher for our local school district for twenty-one years.
During the first five years of our retirement we spent the winter months in Spain, which we thoroughly enjoyed. (It helps that Luis is bilingual.) Last winter we decided on a change of scenery and spent three months in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
This winter we are planning to return to Spain and maybe visit Portugal, as well. Then later in the year we would also be interested in a housesit on Vancouver Island, B.C., where we annually visit two of our adult sons and their families.
Our schedule is quite flexible, and in exchange for allowing us to stay in and care for your home, we would be more than happy to water plants, pick up mail, mow lawns and generally maintain your residence as we would our own.
