We are a 30-something, adventurous couple who work from home as freelance writers, interested in short and medium-term house (and pet)-sitting opportunities around the world!
We have previous experience in our home province of Ontario, in Sarnia, Kitchener and on the Bruce Peninsula, as well as in travels to Portland, OR. We have also spent time house-sitting in Mexico, as well as WWOOFing on organic farms and volunteering for spay and neuter clinics there.
We are currently living in Oaxaca, Mexico. We have a lovely, minimalist 4 bdrm house with office and 2 bathrooms, in the Santa Rosa area of Oaxaca City. It's outside the downtown but close to all necessities, include easy publix transit and taxis. We have a kitten named Nube and are planning to be back in Ontario for a month or so over the Christmas holidays. If you're interested in swapping space with us then, let us know!
The daughter of a farmer & a nurse, and the son of an architect and social enterprise consultant, we have a broad range of handy skills including house and pet care, minor repairs and upkeep, DIY construction, gardening and landscape maintenance, basic small pool and hot tub care, first aid, animal husbandry, farming and sustainability efforts.
We require reliable (and ideally high-speed) internet access so that we may continue our work as freelance writers, but we are otherwise incredibly flexible with our needs, and very self-sufficient. Internet can be something we access from a restaurant or cafe on an as-needed basis, if it isn't available in your home.
