I am comfortable with any size dog and am also comfortable caring for multiple animals at one time in one household. Yes, I love the kitties too.
Does your animal need meds or injections? No problem, I am totally comfortable. My goal with all the animals and humans I work with is to make sure the impact of the separation is minimized. Whether for business or pleasure the animals miss you when you're away - and you miss them. You can rest assured knowing that your home and animals are being loved and well cared for in your absence. The pooches and I go for daily walks, hikes and to dog parks. Feeding routines remain stable. I'm not you, but I can keep their routines pretty much the same as if you were there. Being in their own home and surroundings with lots of love is the key. The greatest compliment for me is when a client tells me that their animals did not miss them!
