It is my desire to make your time away a relaxing and stress-free experience and your homecoming a joy.
You will be able to enjoy your absence confident that your property and/or pet are in caring, capable hands and return to an immaculate house, nurtured garden and happy pet/s. I am a mature, active, exceptionally reliable and efficient, semi-retired businesswoman/writer who works quietly on my laptop from wherever I am.
Seven years ago I packed up my life in Vancouver to travel and live a mobile lifestyle around the world, and to see more of my family back home in Australia. Since then I have cared for many properties and pets from one week to 1.5 years in various countries. I have been an expat for 30 years and I am expert in adapting and settling into new environments quickly and easily.
I am very house-proud and have lots of spare time and energy for taking excellent care of your home, garden, plants and especially to devote to the care of your pets. As an absolutely honest, trustworthy person who is respectful of your belongings and privacy, you will find me easy going, very friendly, responsible and reliable. I am strictly non-smoking, non-drug, rarely drink and have no children or pets. I take care of your home and pet like they are my own, and I am environmentally and energy conscious.
I enjoy quiet peaceful pursuits such as reading, writing, photography, movies, walking, cycling, swimming, travel and cultural pursuits. As a nomad at heart housesitting gives me the opportunity to experience new places as a local rather than just travel through as a tourist not to mention meet some wonderful friends and beautiful pets many of whom are now like family to me and for whom I sit for repeatedly.
You can rest assured I will take care of your precious pet/s to the letter of your instructions and they will receive all the love, care and attention they need. I love cats and enjoy their company. If you have a dog that loves walks they will get plenty as I am an avid walker. I connect with new animals very quickly and I am always astounded at the bond I form with them and how much I miss them when I go.
I research the breed of any animals I am entrusted with to make sure I understand their specific characteristics and needs. As each pet has their own personality I also listen carefully to your pet's special traits, and endeavour to make their time with me a happy and fun experience.
I would welcome taking care of your garden and have experience caring for a variety of pools and spas. I am experienced in ride-on mowers for larger lawns and acreage and pride myself in taking exceptional care of any property I stay in. I am also very security conscious and detail oriented.
I consider housesits in any beautiful/unique area and enjoy coastal, city or country locations that are not too remote and have access to shops and facilities. If you happen to have a great view and balcony I will be in heaven. I have an Australian Driver's License and on many occasions have also been entrusted with a vehicle especially if you are some distance from conveniences.

At the current time I prefer long-term sits of 2-3 months or more however I do consider shorter sits to fill gaps in my schedule.
