I am a retired teacher. I am clean, healthy, fit, non- smoking, responsible and resourceful.
I have owned several homes and have presently moved to a townhouse. After retirement, my husband and I were caretakers for a one hundred year old inn with boat access only. We did this
job for six years-- renovating, cleaning, gardening and welcoming boaters. I am very familiar with maintaining and cleaning houses in both rural and urban situations. I have experience with septic tanks, gardens, docks, power outages and hot tubs.
I love animals. Recently my seventeen year old border collie/husky cross died and I really miss her company. I have looked after dogs and cats for family and friends for years, they call me "The Dog Whisperer" I have owned several dogs and cats during my life-- from playful pups and kittens to seniors in diapers. I am able to give medications to both dogs and cats- orally and intramuscularly. I have had a little experience looking after chickens and some exposure to horses. I am very willing to learn about other animals.
Now that my house and acreage is sold and my lovely gentle dog, Cassie has died, I would like to begin travelling more.
I have travelled extensively everything from a one year job exchange in Britain with my family to canoeing six hundred miles down the Yukon River. I enjoy living in a community and getting to know the people and the area.
At this time, I am looking for house sitting jobs on my own. In the future my partner may join me when he completes his retirement projects.
As a pet sitter, I would expect myself to love, to exercise, to talk to, to feed and to care for your animals as you would do.
As a housecarer I expect my self to leave your home cleaner than I found it, to water plants, to do light gardening, and to handle any emergencies calmly and quickly.
