I am an Interior Designer and Feng Shui consultant who is experienced at home and animal sitting! As of 2019 I have been sitting for 9 years and have great refefnces and referrals.
I am flexible about place and time. Home base is usually Nelson BC, although I travel and work in America ( Alberta & BC) and also travel to Latin America and Bali.
I spend time writing, doing web work etc which requires quiet time and so I am available to house sit/pet sit for chunks of time. I love travel & am open to many locations. I just released my first publication 'Elemental Feng Shui~ The Art of Orientation' in August of 2018 and am starting work in the fall of 2019 on a mini series.
One of my favorite sits was in Santa Fe in the fall of I drove from BC to do so. I have sat in Calgary Alberta and Victoria BC many times over the years. I've also in Nelson, Salmon Arm, Whiterock and Vancouver.
The letter of reference below is from a Calgary. They explain the circumstances of one of two dogs I sat who was injured prior to my arrival. These folks felt confident enough in me to not cancel their trip and returned to a happy almost fully recovered pet. And they did offer me a daily stipend as I had double duty.

Home is important to me and being able to care for others 'homes' is both an honor and a privilege. My references will reflect that. I can also connect you with several people who can chat with you directly.
I have family and friends on the east coast; having been born in N.S. I would consider a house sit in the east if the timing was right. I have lived in Thailand, Bali, various locations in Central America, and speak Spanish.
I work on short term contracts, I teach and as of the past several years, a writer. I love being in the outdoors and in nature; I do love coffee but I'm not a coffee shop kinda gal. I am a non smoker and live a healthy, youthful life and have no pets. I prefer to have wireless internet connection as I am on line frequently doing research.
I have friends whom I have animal sat for who appreciate my care and flexibility. I tend not to sleep with animals if they are very large and if it is a requirement, lets chat about it before we both agree. Your intimate connection with your pets does not often translate to a strange human. And I would rather get a good nights sleep so I can care for your animals better.

We needed someone to take care of our two dogs and our home as we were going to be away for six weeks starting in October 2013. We contacted Charlyne Chiasson through a to determine the arrangements of this stay and were very pleased.
Charlyne came to the house to meet us and our dogs before her stay. She presented as friendly and courteous. She shared her experience house sitting and taking care of other dogs. Her references were fantastic and all spoke to her care and concern for their homes and their pets. She was clear about what was needed…we made a list of contacts and some helpful information about the house. We realized that we had made the right choice.
One week before we left on our trip one of our dogs was run over by a car. We contacted Charlyne to ensure that she would still continue with the arrangement. It was a lot to ask of anyone to take care of a very injured dog – Charlyne stated that she would still continue with the arrangement and we ensured that our two daughters would also help taking the dog to vet appointments, etc. Charlyne was outstanding to say the least. Our dog was not exactly the best patient but Charlyne took all of it in stride. She literally had to take care of the dogs separately and did so with a nurturing spirit. We came back to two healthy dogs but the patient dog was in incredible shape (we actually couldn’t believe he was the same dog we had left). She kept in touch through and we actually enjoyed our trip knowing that Charlyne was the main support at home.
Our two daughters were also very impressed with Charlyne’s calm and focused approach and felt secure in the fact that our home and dogs were well taken care of during this time.
