I am a retired teacher and my husband a retired engineer, we are both fit and active, enjoy nature and the outdoors and love travelling. We are both animal lovers and have owned cats, a dog, a horse and birds ourselves in the past.
We have had previous house sitting positions over the last years, long term in France and Canada and shorter posts in England, both of which have involved looking after dogs, cats and on one occasion some chickens.
We are very keen gardeners and are able to handle basic maintenance tasks. We are conscientious and trustworthy, are aware of the responsibilities involved in caring for a home and take pride in looking after other people's homes and pets, as if they were our own.
We can provide references if required.
After having been traveling overland through South, Central and North America with our Land Rover, we are now back in England with our family. We would now love to find a house sit which would enable us to write up our journals and travelling experiences, as well as getting to know an area that we may just like to settle in ourselves.
