We are a couple in mid forties who desire to explore the world by an unconventional lifestyle.

We are open-minded, outgoing, cross-cultural couple and eager to seek new adventures and learn new cultures from around the globe. We are financially independent former homeowners So we definitely know the care and responsibility that is both required and expected. John worked as a Regional Manager for a nation retail chain and previously in a family business that manufactures saddle pads for horses. Shannon worked as a BioPharma Chemist in the States and as a Stock Market Analyst in China. We are both avid hikers and have a love of the outdoors and exploring new places. We prefer to live a minimalistic life style so we can enjoy the real things in life, such as great relationships with good people, animals and places.

We don't treat a staying in ones home as a vacation, but as an exchange of trust and care. We would like to house sit as we enjoy discovering local communities, traditions and culture. We enjoy 'living as a local' to immerse ourselves into traditional living instead of staying in hotels being tourists. We consider ourselves as travelers who wish to see the real world with true eyes instead of being blinded by commercial neons. Shannon and John both have a love for nature, all critters both big and small, and especially dogs & cats! So it would be great to explore the world while making some new human and animal friends along the way.

We are full time experienced house/pet sitters since beginning of the 2012 after we decided to travel the world for few years. We are responsible and trustworthy; clean and tidy, always ensure our host’s pets and home is our top priority. We have already successfully completed 18 assignments ranging from 10 days to 10 weeks in the USA, Caribbean, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji since 2012. Along with taking care of normal house pets like dogs and cats, we also cared for chickens, goats, guinea pigs, kangaroos, possums, sugar gliders and a collection of fish and birds!

As former homeowners, we are used to caring for properties and capable of maintaining properties or dealing with any problems that may arise. We are excellent organic gardeners. We grew our own veggies all year round, indoor and outdoor. We grew up with family pets, dogs, cats, snakes, fish, turtles, etc. John had a 16yo Doberman that passed on in 2002. Shannon grew up in China on family farm and she knows how to handle farm animals like chicken, ducks, goats and pigs... In the past few years we have been actively involved in renting our house out for travelers through airbnb and staying in other peoples homes. We have great feedback's from our guests and references from our hosts: check it out below.
