Glad that you found your way to my Profile. I am Johanna (25), a software engineer from Germany. That's why I only need an internet connection and a Laptop - that allows me to work from all different places in the world.
I love to travel and experience life in foreign countries, that's why I love the idea of house sitting. I see house sitting as a great opportunity to immerse ourselves in the culture and lifestyle of a foreign country. It is a possibility to become a part of the society - I believe that it is not possible if you are isolated in a hotel or similar accommodation.
I would describe myself as trustworthy, reliable and light-hearted. We are both very independent and self-reliant persons.
I am living in my own household since I was 17, am taking care of the pets in my neighbourhood and I am managing a holiday flat in Berlin. I love animals, I am often walking the dogs from the animal shelter and would love to have a pet for my own, unfortunately that wish doesn't currently fit into my lifestyle. But as a compensation I would love to take care of others' pets and house sitting gives me the opportunity to do so. Furthermore, I was in the US as a nanny when I was 18 and had several babysitter jobs as a teen.
I am a non-smokers and a very active persons. I cannot live any more without my daily run. I love to read, meet friends and am always curious about new ideas and innovative things.
I already hosted people through couch surfing and did house sitting a couple of times. Mainly in our home country Germany and we never had any bad experiences. Also our guests and the home owners were always more than satisfied with us.
I think that people should use the many possibilities we have nowadays - people can connect, share and help each other easily no matter if they know each other or if they live in the same country. It is a great tool of our society and that's why I am so confident about the idea and the ideals of house sitting and similar concepts in general (for example, couch surfing, sharing, etc.).
