Hi :) I'm a single female from a small town in NZ. I have recently returned home to New Zealand after spending months in the UK and Europe.
I am now looking for opportunities to housesit in New Zealand and also for I am looking mainly for housesits in both the USA and Canada but will be open to other countries.
I am an experienced traveller and have spent in the recent years year living in Canada, years looking after Children in the USA and travelled to various other countries.
For the years previous to living in the UK I had been living back in NZ working in Senior Management focusing on administration for a leading clothing retail store. So I have the patience and ability to be very focused and professional but feel it is time to do a bit more exploring with my passion for seeing the world.
I do not smoke and very rarely drink.
Why I want to housesit:
I love being amongst the cultural aspects of travel, not just seeing a place but truly experiencing everything it has to offer. I believe that the best things about a place come from the local people and not from a tour guide. Having the opportunity to spend longer in one place and making it a home really gives you this experience. I also love animals so this goes without saying :)
What I bring to the assignment / relevant experience:
I grew up on a farm so have been around animals all my life whether it be cats and dogs or deer and sheep I have from an early age had a huge place in my heart for animals. I have two dogs whom I adore that I have left with my mother while I am away. I also think that my experience of being a solo traveller and spending so much time out in the world already, really gives me an understanding and appreciation for other people and there posessions so will one hundred % treat them as if they were my own.
