We are a fit and active couple (47 and 50) living in London, UK. Working for years as IT professionals in banking, we are fortunate to have been able to afford to take early retirement at the end of Experienced travellers, we are keen to spend time in new places living like locals.
We are mature and sensible and can be relied upon to fulfil our commitments. We do not have children or pets of our own so can be flexible and able to take assignments at short notice. We both loved having cats and dogs when we were younger and relish any opportunity to take care of other people's pets. We enjoy long country walks, reading and the quiet life.
We believe house sitting gives us the opportunity to experience life in different parts of the world without the cost and hassle of short-term rentals. We like being able to enjoy having pets again whilst having the freedom to travel.
We are experienced in house and pet sitting, having completed several cat-sitting assignments in France and Switzerland as well as regular cat and dog-sitting for family members. We are happy to provide references for all our house-sits. Owning our own home and a rental property in London, we appreciate the importance of keeping a property secure and well-maintained.
John is skilled in plumbing, building and electrical work and can fix most problems that arise. Majella grew up on a farm in Ireland and is very familiar with taking care of animals. We both have driving licenses and would probably bring our own car for longer assignments in Europe. Majella has full UK Government SC security clearance.
