We are now getting back into house sitting post COVID, after only undertaking sits in Fiji for long term clients during the last 2 years. Having just returned from another Fiji sit for these clients in April 2024, we are now looking to head a further afield.
Who are we:
We are retired Australian public (civil) servants who, after 35 years each of government work at executive level, are exploring new horizons and having new experiences. Before COVID we were enjoying travelling and housesitting in various parts of this amazing world.
In Australia, we are home owners so we know and fully understand the importance of the care, security and maintenance of one's home - especially when travelling (which we love!). In addition to the pleasure of enjoying the company of the pets we care for, house sitting gives us the opportunity to spend time "soaking up" the everyday experiences of living in various countries and locales.
We prefer locations with access to public transport as we don't always rent a vehicle, although we do both drive and have clean driving records and maximum no claim bonuses on our vehicle insurances. Having said this, we do often hire vehicles depending on location and need.
We are both non-smokers. I am a keen gardener and walker. I am a conscientious and fastidious cleaner and would look after your home and contents with care and respect. We have previously cared for dogs, cats, birds, fish, a mini guinea pig and a free range rabbit.
