Some of our clients hired us to house/pet sit after the had hired us to do their house cleaning. I had been a Primary Caregiver to a family member prior to this but had paid and unpaid people assist me when I had to venture out.
My wife is on a seperate career path now but has occasionally joined me, though only intermittantly. We've stayed at four homes of which many of them work for the Chicago Police or Fire Department.
I've also administerd meds for pets and other duties our clients have asked. Most of our housesitting involved at least walking one dog and cleaning up afterward. We did have a house that had 2 dogs, a macaw, and fish to feed along with watering outdoor plants. On occasion we are left a vechicle to use and on another occasion I cooked,cleaned, ran errands and spent time with the father of one of our old cleaning customers.
I live on the oldest house on my block with 10 trees and respect for nature in the natural enviroment. We recycle and use an electric lawn mower on our corner lot along with a little vegetable gardening.
