I’ve been house sitting for 3 years and have made so many friends – both human and animal – and seen a great deal more of the world than I would have imagined.
PREVIOUS HOUSE SITS: Late I looked after a home and German Shepherd dog in Townsville, Queensland for a retired couple who decided to travel around Australia for six months - during which time I experienced the emergency situation of a mini-cyclone!
Early Three month house sit for a couple in Shropshire in England. I walked their two dogs every day and looked after them, tended the large garden, cleaned, dusted and generally kept the house in order.
July 2012, I accepted a 2.5 month house-sit for a couple in Boston, Massachusetts. They had an elderly cat which they did not want to place in a cattery.
In October 2012 I did a two-week house sit in Padstow, Cornwall. I looked after their lovely home and terrier. I walked the dog every day and looked after the garden, collected mail etc.
April I did a 6 month house sit in beautiful Port Stephens on the New South Wales north coast. No animals to look after on this occasion, but gardens to tend and a home to maintain.
November A 10 day house sit in Chester, England where I looked after two lovely cats.
January A three month house sit in Toronto, Canada (during one of the harshest winters ever!). I looked after a little Yorkshire Terrier and a cat, shovelled feet of snow every day and kept the house from suffering the effects of constant snow and ice storms.
I'm single, with 4 grown children, I’m a non-smoker, completely dedicated and responsible. I have references, plus a police check which are all on my profile. No matter what country I’m located in, I'm willing to go anywhere for the adventure, and provided I’m not otherwise booked for a house sit, I will consider all requests.
