I am an autonomous, freedom-loving, freelance copy editor/writer who is offering my 15 years' experience providing warmhearted and highly-attentive care for your pets, plants, and gardens, as well as meticulous care for your beloved home, whether it be stationed on land or on sea.
I am conscientious, fit, active, friendly, mature, dependable, and child and pet-free, with the ablility and willingness to journey nearly anywhere and would love to sit for you. I am a fairly well-travelled solo sojourner and have lived, as well as travelled, in and through a variety of places in Canada and the States, as well as throughout a number of areas in Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and SE Asia, and am completely confident and easeful in my ability to transition quickly, comfortably, and seamlessly. I also possess a multitude of experience in the hospitality industry, have lived in a number of well-touristed areas, in a variety of terrains, and am versed in providing friendly and upstanding service for guests should you have a need for an innkeeper/b&b host.

I guarantee an abundance of loving care for your pets as I truly adore all animals and- when I'm not in and/or on the water, or climbing or skiing mountains- am often home as this is where I mostly work, and I do otherwise lead a fairly mellow and calm home-life; I love to meditate, and I read and study a fair amount when I'm not in the kitchen creating, or involved in a music or art project. I have loved every moment of my time conducting sits that have allowed me to live a gloriously freedom-filled lifestyle with greater ease, while having sweet pets around to care for-- something that my lifestyle does not allow for, and something I have been quite grateful for!
To drive the point home, if I haven't stressed it enough... :) I have great love and affection for- and rapport with- animals and welcome all. Over the years I have gained a multitude of experience with many types of animals- dogs, cats, birds, fish, reptiles, horses, chickens, and other various farm animals- in many venues. I grew up in the company of most of the aforementioned creatures and went on to spend upwards of a decade volunteering with the Humane Society- socialising dogs and cats as well as assisting in fundraising, and have also spent a bit of time as a veterinary technician.
My gardening skills are varied as I've tended to both ornamental and culinary gardens (professional and personal) in a number of environs: tropical, arid, as well as mountain-life at 2400 metres-- challenging and interesting! I always welcome more opportunity for learning, especially farming and permaculture-related projects!
I am highly conscientious and possess a solid amount of common sense so am well with the ability to manage just about any situation that might arise in the absence of a homeowner. I also like to provide updates every few days, leaving you worry-free during your travels. I am tidy and respectful of others' spaces, always keeping (and leaving) them in immaculate condition, as well as also being considerate of- and conservative with- utility usage. Lastly, television is not one of my requirements for living however internet is and access to this would be most helpful.
* Please do note that I am blissfully car-free so I would need to be within 8 km or so biking and/or 2 to 5 km walking distance (winter weather conditions excluded) to amenities, public transport, etc. Also worth noting is that I am in possession of a driver's license, with an impeccable driver's record and excellent driving skills, and access to a car is always appreciated but by no means a requirement- I truly love to be on foot and bike! *
