After years of teaching (Jhan – blind rehab and yoga; Victor-psychology), we are ready to start in on the next phase of our life adventure. We value simplicity, community, and nature. For years, we have organized a number of activities in the Tucson community, including a weekly sacred music celebration called Global Chant (:// .actonwisdom /global-chant) and multigenerational play activities for a non-profit that we started (:// .playhaven ). In the past three years, we bought and transformed a dilapidated property in central Tucson, remodeling a -square foot building (with the help of construction experts who advised and coaches us), landscaping, gardening, tending goats, and creating attractive outdoor living space. We are sociable people who also enjoy quiet repose. Both of us are spiritual, but not religious. We are cosmopolitan in the truest sense of the word: "citizens of the universe," speaking Spanish, some Italian, and a little French. Health and fitness are important to us, and we both love physical labor. We are ready to see new places, meet new people, and discover new cultures. Neither of us has any interest in simply being tourists. We prefer to immerse ourselves in a place, get to know it, and establish roots there. Our objectives are always to beautify the places in which we live, enrich the lives of the people we meet, and to learn from our interactions with others. We see our community as a circle and now we're ready to widen that circle while we have the vitality and resources to explore our world. Jhan has done extensive housesitting and pet-sitting for many years, usually as a favor to her friends. Victor has been a property manager for two decades, buying and remodeling distressed properties for the purpose of improving neighborhoods. Both of us have done a great deal of landscaping and gardening. Victor has gotten quite good as a handyman, and Jhan has a green thumb and a knack for connecting with animals of all kinds. We have had various pets in our lives, including cats, dogs, birds, goats, guinea pigs, and turtles. We bring our open hearts; physical strength; mental focus; commitment to community; strong sense of responsibility; ability to nurture plants, humans, and other animals; passion for music; love of nature; adaptability; resourcefulness; adventurous spirits; simplicity; and compassion. By nature, we are both nurturers and community-builders. We are both committed to living with bodies, minds, and spirits in balance.
