My husband is taking more time off getting ready to retire in two years. We plan to travel more and discovered Housecarers while searching International Retirement sites.
We are non-smoking, tidy, and healthy avid gardeners, pet lovers, antique hunters and general lovers of travel. we currently own a home with a swimming pool which my husband takes care of. We have traveled many times to Europe and Central America, Mexico and many sites in the USA. I understand French but do not speak it fluently.
When I read about this type of opportunity I thought it was a perfect way to discover new areas but still get my "pet fix". We currently have four cats and last year unfortunately lost all thre of our border collies to old age. This is the first time since we've been married (forty-three years) that we have not had a dog. We are also open to caring for other animals besides cats and dogs.
We have two children and six grandchildren. They all live in town and we see each other often.
