INTRODUCTION
NB: BOOKED until October
I like the idea to travel and help people at the same time. For me it's more than travelling, it's a new way to experiment the life. I'm from Lorraine, I also lived 5 years in USA. Now, I would like to explore the SOUTH-WEST of FRANCE.
I plan to study at home. I want to change of job and become a professionnal gardener. I will need to stay longer in one place to have the occasion to practise in enterprises or for municipalities.
WHY I WANT TO HOUSESIT?
I deeply love animals but I don't have anymore because I travel too much. It's a great occasion for me to share my time with animals.
If you have a garden I will have the pleasure to take care of it. It's something I really like to do.
I enjoy to be alone in a quiet place. Animals and a garden, it's all I really need, I insist on the fact it's not a problem for me to be alone in a house in the country. I will have my car, so, if I need to go somewhere, I can go easily. I'm very independant.
It's also a great occasion for me to live like a local and not like a tourist. I prefer slow travel. The most important for me is to enjoy the nature around, the place where I stay, the garden and the animals.
WHAT I BRING TO THE ASSIGNMENT / RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
I'm responsible, quiet, clean, respectful, reliable, non-smoker, animal lover and I like to garden. My goal is: when you will come back home, you will be happy. I also have my own car.
My experience:
- I have had a cat for nine years, and two others for two years.
- I have housesat for friends and in a help exchange program.
- I volunteered in a kennel in USA for one year.
- I WWOOFed (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms) almost two years, first in USA, and then in France and Italy: I took care of different animals (dogs, cats, horses, goats, pigs, chickens,...), I did all kind of jobs in gardens and vegetable gardens (seeding, planting, watering, weeding, harvesting, processing)
-I have housesat in Auvergne in December
-new commitments to come: house/pet-sitting and help exchange
I welcome any questions you might have and look forward to hearing from you!
Happy travels!
