As a self-employed communications consultant and writer, I am fortunate to be able to work from anywhere. An avid traveler who prefers to soak up cultural experiences rather than play tourist, I have lived in Australia and Italy, while my work has taken me to South America and Africa. Having grown up on an "suburban ranch" in Southern California, I have decades of experience caring for pets of all sizes (cats, dogs, horses, rats, rabbits, parrots, chickens, ducks—even a possum!), and serving as the go-to house/pet/plant sitter for my family and friends. I take special delight in reviving struggling, unhappy plants. I currently have two Siamese/Calico mix cats, two-year-old sisters named Hazel and Hattie.
