Due to unforeseen circumstances, my wife and I have no choice but to be away from our home this winter. It is an off-grid house, powered by a micro-hydro unit on our creek. You must know up front that this is a wilderness home. It has all modern comforts but it does require a hardy and handy person to run it. It is wood heated, with enough wood provided to last the entire winter. If you have snowmobiles then this is definitely an excellent place to be in the winter! We have many miles of roads to explore right from here. As a matter of fact, when the snow does come, this house is completely cut off from vehicle traffic. It is a 5km ride on a sled to get to where you can park your vehicle, which should probably be a 4x4! I realize that I'm eliminating possible sitters as I write this but, seriously, this is not your average sitting assignment. We are trusting that the right person or couple will come along, so if that's you, please say hello!
