Looking for reliable pet sitter(s) from 28-07-'15 to 04-09-'15 to take care of my adorable dog Sara and my sweet cat Lola. I will leave on the 29th of July, but I would like you to arrive a day earlier so we can get acquainted and I can show you around the apartment and where to go. Although I would prefer someone for 5 weeks, a shorter period is negotiable (2,5/3 weeks). Starting date would remain July 28 though.
Sara is a wonderful 3-year-old, medium sized, black and white Frisian staby houn, which is a typical Dutch breed. She’s extremely friendly and she loves to cuddle! She's easy-going and chill indoor and fairly active outdoors, especially when there's a ball involved. She loves to go for a swim and she thoroughly enjoys playing at the beach or in the parks/forests. She needs 2 to 3 short walks a day min) and 1 long walk min, but longer is also fine). She likes public transport and car rides, so she's easy to bring along. Also, she is used to terraces and restaurants (she'll just lie down under the table or under your chair). She can be left alone occasionally for 6 hours maximum.
Lola is a cute, 8-year-old tortoiseshell cat. She likes attention and cuddling as well and she can be very chatty! She's a bit crazy, but in a good way ;). She limps, but that's due to the unfortunate fact she fell down from a 5 story high balcony some years ago... At first she was paralysed from the waist down, so I thought I'd loose her. But luckily a small miracle happened: after a few weeks she recovered for 90%! She's capable of doing anything again, but she has been less active ever since. Besides lots of cuddles and some playing she just needs two meals a day, fresh water and a snack about every other day.
Your temporary home would be a comfortable two-bedroom apartment (80 square meters) in a quiet street in the southern part of the city, close to The Hague's city centre, the train station, parks, forest and the village of Oud-Rijswijk. Nearest beach is 30 minutes away. The living room is spacious and bright with views of a nice park, which is great for picnics. The living room has a ceiling fan for the warm summer days (and an electric fireplace and central heating for the colder days, but you won't be needing those during summer). There's a small balcony in the back. The open kitchen has all amenities. The bathroom features a bathtub with Jacuzzi, a separate shower, a toilet and a basin. There are two bedrooms: one with a queen size bed and one with a king size bed.
Other amenities: fast Wi-Fi, television, dvd player Public transport is easily accessible. Trams and buses to all major attractions (city centre, parks, forests, beaches, restaurants, shopping areas etc.) are within walking distance. The train station can be reached within 10 to 15 minutes. From there it's only about 45 minutes to Amsterdam. Trains to and from Amsterdam run every 15 minutes. After midnight there are night trains as well. They run every hour until about 4 am. I don't own a car, but you are welcome to use my city bike.
