Hi! We are Duncan and Linda. We are able to offer years of experience with the care-giving of kids and pets alike. Our personal goal is to make your pet(s) feel safe, soothed and comfortable with us within the first few hours. We have five successful adult children, and have had a lifetime of treasured pets-especially Golden Retrievers and Himalayan kitties. We love feeding and watching the birds for all seasons. The hummingbirds each summer are a particular delight for us. We have always been non-smokers and prefer to stay in homes that are non-smoking as well. Now that we are semi-retired, we love to travel more and see this as a fun opportunity to help others at the same time.
Linda is an RN, with many years of experience working with children and disadvantaged youth. Duncan is a former police officer/paramedic and firefighter, whose career evolved into the world of information technology. His concern is always to serve and protect. Duncan grew up working on a farm, and has experience with operating large machinery and caring for horses and cattle. Many of our house/pet sits over the last few years have involved caring for elderly pets and administering medications as scheduled.
We have owned homes and cared for large properties-we are careful about keeping things neat and organized. Having raised children, we often had a multitude of various critters around the house-including tropical fish tanks and birds. Duncan, in particular, has a green thumb and plants thrive in his care!
Always careful and responsible, we will take care of your pets and home as we do our own. We both love to explore new areas, and are avid photographers. Duncan’s nature photography has been featured in several publications. You will find us out early, enjoying sunrises and sunsets. We also enjoy settling in early and enjoying a quiet lifestyle.
