My husband and I are an Australian professional couple who've lived in the US for the last four years, and have traveled extensively through Australia, Europe, Asia and the U.S. We're looking for not-so-touristy adventures and seeing what the real America has to offer.
I grew up on farmland in Southern Victoria and have ridden and cared for horses and other animals for many years. My husband grew up in the city and is very handy around the house. We both love travel, doing outdoorsy stuff like biking, hiking, kayaking, and meeting people from all walks of life.
We're non-smokers and love pets and animals. We enjoy exploring on foot (which your dogs will love), and maintain our own garden at home. As homeowners (and landlords) ourselves, we're ready to troubleshoot and solve problems if the arise.
I have completed housesits many years ago while at University, and we have stayed in homes extensively with in the US and abroad, and have nothing but positive feedback from our hosts (see link above). We're responsible and treat other people's property as if it were our own.
My husband and I are currently working and looking for short-term housecaring opportunities up to 2 weeks long, and would consider anywhere that looks like fun.
