We are an active, non-smoking professional couple house sitting our way around the world. We are embracing this change of pace and loving the experience of different cultures, meeting people from all walks of life, and just living life! We took a year off work in 2017 as a trial run at house sitting and saw us House sit in 5 different locations, from Puerto Rico to South East Asia.
We returned to NZ to work through 2018, I returned to NZ Post and contracted as a Harbour Patrol Officer with the Maritime Team, looking after Navigation Safety in this busiest port in New Zealand. I was also a tutor of Boating Safety courses in my spare time and mother of two girls who have now left home. My partner Chris, was the Deputy Harbourmaster and prior to that, after gaining his degree, served as a Fisheries Officer for 3 years then a police officer for 10 years.
April 2019 we left NZ again and completed 12 months of House sitting, from Australia to Brazil, then Europe to USA when COVID made us return to NZ to sit out the pandemic. 1 January 2022, traveled to Australia, to start house sitting again.
Chris has a passion for sport and was a SCUBA diving instructor for 15 years and continues to dive recreationally, and I would spend all day on the water if I could. We love to spend time out doors, kayaking, cycling and our biggest passion - travelling and seeing the world.
I lived in Scotland for 8 years whilst working in the offshore energy exploration industry and have travelled extensively throughout Europe, Australia, Canada, Pacific Islands and Southern Africa. Chris has lived and worked in Australia, Christmas Island, Sinai Peninsula, Ireland and England and has travelled extensively through Europe, USA, Pacific Islands and South East Asia.
We are very community minded and find the best part of travel is making life long friends, we have met the most amazing people during our adventures, people we count as friends.
We are animal lovers and have owned cats, dogs, rabbits and budgies. We currently own several properties and understand the value of caring for a home and choosing the right tenants. So we would take pride in your home and pets and treat them as if they were our own.
