I prefer a smoke free, non toxic environment. I am not particularly fond of operating farm machinery & would gladly pay a gardener & pool person to take care of these issues.
After the Cairns events, I looked after 3 different felines in Kanwal, Mullumbimby, Glenroy & again Mullumbimby.
I have just spent several weeks south of Cairns during the cyclones of 2024. I spent 4 months in Cairns from , then Charters towers, followed by Lake Macquarie, Bundaberg, Leumeah until Nov I was in WA minding a friend's apartment, then a few weeks in York, WA. I will be on the Central Coast (feb-march) then Mullumbimby, NSW. Gymea Bay April to May. I am booked from Late May to early July 2024 in Fremantle WA. In late July am near Newcastle, NSW followed by Bathurst Sept-Oct. In Aug I will be in Ocean shores, NSW. In Nov am in Marshall near Geelong. The rest of the yr pretty free until I find the right location & preferred duties.
2022: I housat for 35 days in Ocean Grove, Vic, looking after a cat mostly. I was asked to return for a further 13 days after that. In the meantime I looked after another in Barwon heads. A most beautiful house & garden where I would return if asked & depending on my schedule. I would prefer to accept housits within Australia ! Now that I am fully vaccinated & even tho it is absolutely safe to travel overseas.
I was in Alice Springs, on a repeat housit Dec 2019 to Jan 2020. My friends were very pleased on their return from holidays. I have been called on again, regrettably I was booked elsewhere! I was partly housecaring on a rural property in Victoria, Australia from Jan to March Looking after a whole menagerie of dogs, cats, chickens and ducks. I was housitting in Fiji from April to the beginning of August cats involved). A most challenging housit in a spectacular landscape. I was in Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia until mid Jan I am booked to return there Dec 2019 to Jan 2020
I housat in Fremantle, Western Australia for 6 weeks and returned there for 3 months from Aug to Nov My hosts well pleased after 3 months of travel. I was called again later in I have housat for my friends on several occasions during the numerous short lockdowns in WA. There r 6 quails on the property & extensive gardens to look after. I was regularly asked to housit for them all thru 2020, 2021 & 2022 when they travel. I am headed there this coming June 2024. My second home they call it :)
I was for 3 months in Lake Macquarie, the Hunter region until mid Sept Prior to registering with Housecarers i housat for family and friends. I registered with Housecarers a few years ago. I have repeat housit situations all over Australia with glowing references. Along with my references, my hosts are happy to give recommendations on requests for their phone or s.
I am a knitwear designer, working from my studio, in collaboration with various companies and local businesses. I am well published with patterns and profiles and have travelled all over Australia teaching my craft to an enthused audience.
I am a neat freak; i luv gardening & plants respond to my care & intensive knowledge. I respect people's private spaces & belongings as if they were my own. Whilst I prefer a no pets housit, I have successfully looked after cats, chooks, quails, fishes, birds & sheep over the last few years.
i use public transport quite effectively & frequently, finding my way thru all manner of transportation wherever I find myself.
As my own travel agent I am the curator of my travels to & from various housitting locations. A contribution towards my travel expenditures on long distance journeys gladly appreciated.
