I have worked as a special education teacher in the public schools for over thirty-five years. Covid hit after my first job on Housecarers so I am just getting back into house sitting. I am available this year during the months of, Decemb June through the first of August and possibly during school breaks. Animals and traveling have always been my passions. I LOVE to travel and want to do so frequently and inexpensively. I have owned or cohabitated with everything from insects to horses all my life. I grew up with pet mice, gerbils, hamsters, fish, rabbits, cats, dogs, chickens and horses(natural horsemanship) and have a gentle way with animals. My sweet Newt, my 15 yeal old border collie, passed away a few months ago. I plan on traveling and getting my fix from other people's animals for a while, rather than getting another pet. I currently house-sit through word of mouth; feeding, cleaning stalls, medicating, caring for geriatric pets and livestock. I leave your house in the same or better condition than I find it. I also enjoy working in the garden and getting my hands dirty. By request, I send pictures and updates of your pets while you are away.
Teachers have regular background checks and my criminal background check is current and clean. After retirement, I plan on house/pet sitting year round.
