Hello! I am LeaAnn Ross, a parent to two beautiful grown girls! My husband and I formed our family via adoption and we are so proud of them and the women they have become. I taught for 35 years mostly working with children with hearing loss. I did teach a few years pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and first grade in general education but missed the challenge of working with children with hearing loss. My last year of teaching took us to Utah where I taught at Utah State University in the laboratory school for children with hearing loss! We rented a townhome there while maintaining our home in Wisconsin! We had a great time living and exploring Utah!! I then decided to retire in December of 2020.
I love to be busy! I exercise(bike, hike, jog, ski, Barre…) and practice yoga on a regular basis. Reading and gardening are part of my routine too!
Hello! I am Doug Ross and along with helping raise a family, owning and maintaining our houses, and helping care for our variety of pets—I taught in an At Risk program for high school students for 30 years.
I am a musician, enjoy skiing, hiking, watersports, and generally, most outdoor activities — and since traveling allows us access to many of these activities, housesitting seems to be a perfect fit for us as retired teachers.
We love animals and have had many throughout our lives. We have always had cats in our lives. While our girls were growing we have also had guinea pigs, frogs, a turtle, and beautiful German Shepard (Jaida) who we miss to this day!! We have 2 cats in our home currently-Leo and Boris who are actually our youngest daughter’s and we LOVE them beyond belief! Of course we cannot forget our grandpuppies-Lannie and Reo!!
We are also part of the and have references there as well as rating from previous house sits. And yes, we are a five star couple! Through THS, we are background checked. Also know that as previous teachers, we needed to have this done every 5 years!
We have so enjoyed out sits learning about the fur babies and enjoying their personalities! enjoying the area we have sits has been a fabulous perk of this!
