We are at the point in our life when we are free to travel just about anywhere and love the idea of caring for other people's pets, homes and properties. Having owned a second home in Taos, New Mexico for 10 years, we fully understand the value of a good caretaker and the responsibilities that come with the job. Good caretakers are adaptable to each home's specific needs and are excellent at communicating with the home's owners.
Tom traveled for a living for 35 years as a manufacuters rep while Laura taught in elementary schools and raised 3 children...and 3 cats. The cats have all moved on to Cat Heaven and the children are all successfully on their own, so now we travel a great deal and love to immerse ourselves in new areas in order to learn about more than the usual tourist spots.
Laura loves nothing more than caring for her beloved cats and has experience in administering medicine if necessary since cats somehow love her as much as she loves them. She is also an accomplished gardener. Tom is a master of logistics and problem solving, and we both enjoy hiking, biking, and good restaurants.
