I am likewise a retired teacher, musician, writer and handyman. We have lived and worked in other countries as teachers, and currently live in a stone house we built ourselves from local fieldstone and lumber sawed from our own trees.
We have a large organic garden, and are experienced with carpentry, electrical work, and plumbing, and we have lived a self-sufficient life for many years. We had a farm for 7 years (now sold) and so are very comfortable with animals... plus, as members of housecarers, we have looked after homes and farms for other people.
We like to experience life in other places, and would look after your home, as we have for other house sits, with care and responsibility, the same as we do for our home. PS We have already arranged our time in Mexico for the winter of ( Dec to April ) but we would consider other house sits in Mexico for early winter if the schedules worked for the owners and ourselves... We will be available again beginning November 2020.
