We are a retired couple who met as house sitters in 2005 and together we explore our two countries. We travel by car to our destinations and we make the journey an adventure, experiencing the scenery and culture along the way. Drina, the US half of the partnership, is a retired speech & theatre teacher from Virginia. She has a beautiful summer home in Thousand Islands in upstate, NY. She enjoys spending quiet time writing, painting, and walking. As a Quaker she loves nature and tranquility; house sitting is an ideal way for her to experience new environments that stimulate creative ideas.
Wayne, the Canadian half, is a retired banker and property manager from Kingston, ON. He loves chess, scrabble, and a good book. Together Wayne & Drina are an awesome team: dependable, adaptable, and well versed in most emergencies. As non-drinkers/non-smokers, your home will be respected and kept clean and neat. Wayne is the dog whisperer and Drina is the cat whisperer. Drina worked her way through college as a veterinarian’s assistant and she is familiar with giving insulin shots, and administering pills.
