I am looking for a neat, responsible, non-smoking house sitter to care for my home, maintain a small garden, and water a few deck plants for roughly 2 1/2 months. I would prefer a single female or retired couple; COVID vaccination is a must. The house is located on a cul-de-sac in a safe, quiet neighborhood with convenient access to freeways and shopping areas. There are 3BR, 2baths, an elevated outdoor deck, and an enclosed garage. One BR is used as a home office. Ceiling fans in all main rooms. The house is nicely furnished in a clean, modern style and gets beautiful natural light. This space is warm and welcoming and would be perfect for writers, digital nomads, and people who work remotely. Fast internet; washer/dryer; cable TV. References required. Thank you!

I knew I would have an enjoyable stay from the moment I walked into Sharon’s lovely home in Decatur. The house, with its’ large back deck, is set in a quiet leafy neighborhood. I especially enjoyed sitting out and watching the activity at a robin’s nest and hearing a variety of birdsong. Although Sharon and I didn’t meet in person, she made me feel very welcome and at ease through our many communications and video chats. I found her to be very thoughtful and generous, inquiring about food preferences, stocking some of my favorites, which I really appreciated! She even took the time to source local restaurant, shopping and transit information, as well as arranging for a friend to taking me grocery shopping. There were no pets to care for, just the usual simple tasks around the home, which took very little time each day. I have no hesitation in recommending a housesit in this lovely, cozy home for such a caring homeowner.
