We are in need of a quiet couple from March 1 to May 10 to love our beautiful home in Taos, northern New Mexico near the village of Arroyo Seco area. We are in a quiet coveted area on a dead end road against the El Salto mountain with 1 sweet elderly dog to keep you company. He is Guido the Labrador retriever (with no stop button on the retriever action!) His routine is fairly simple, the same meal twice/ day, some medications, and a short walk after each meal.
We are needing a long term stay when we will be traveling to our sailboat in Mexico. Essentially we are offering to pay expenses for home and dog maintenance, rent, and utilities in a large classic adobe home in one of the most alluring areas in New Mexico with fascinating art, museums, pueblos and outdoors sports in exchange for devoted care of the house and property, and gentle old "Guido" the labrador. The house is airy bright and completely furnished, with a large great room with fireplace and well equipped kitchen. There is a queen bedroom for your accomodations, and a bright den/office. There are porches on every side to take in the mountain views, a hot tub and fenced yard. We would require you to be willing to maintain the property, including recycling, shoveling snow, walking & feeding dog and repairing or arranging for professional help if needed, and gardening in the spring. For you gardeners that can't wait to get your hands in the soil we are willing to negotiate a fee for heavier garden work.
We have supplied all the immediate necessities and ask that you just replace what you use, ie. the propane for the grills, firewood used, or other supplies (but we don't sweat the small stuff!). So please get in touch as soon as possible and take advantage of the best of the gorgeous Taos Ski Valley season.
Thank you for considering us,
Joe and Kitty
