Want to stay in an artist's converted church in a quaint village near the historic Erie Canal? I have a friendly, affectionate cat who spends most of his days hunting outside but enjoys human companionship when he comes home. He needs feeding once a day, and doesn't require a litter box.
During the summer: The courtyard garden is filled with plants and veggies and has spots to enjoy sun and shade for dining or relaxing. A fire pit and hot tub make it a real vacation spot. Watering the potted plants is a daily activity which takes about 10 minutes if there's no rain in the forecast. There are also two small patches of grass that would need mowing once in two weeks.
Winter Activities: snow shoeing, hiking, xcountry skiing & local downhill skiing. Hot tub in backyard.
The house is an old church and has high ceilings and fans that keep it cool but we don't have AC. We are very close to many nature preserves with waterfalls, swimming holes and the beautiful Finger Lakes. The historic village of Fayetteville is quiet and there are several restaurants and coffee shops in walking distance. Easy biking to nearby Erie Canal bike path and Green Lakes State Park. Very nice neighbors.
