We are a retired gay couple looking for a house sitter who will add a level security to our house while we are in Europe for about two months. We do not have any pets, but do have some plants that need to be watered. Would like someone to keep home and flower beds well maintained and tidy. This might involve sweeping leaves from the decks. No grass to mow.
Our house:
Three story beautiful house built in 1914 with basement, so an individual needs to be physically able to easily climb stairs.
Location is a quiet part of a popular neighborhood.
House is eclectically decorated and equipped with modern amenities.
There is no air conditioning. We have radiator heat and the kitchen has heated floors.
Kitchen is all electric.
House is equipped with cable television and WiFi.
Located on a busy street, so during the day and evening, there is some traffic noise.
Street parking only. We will have a zone guest permit to allow parking on our side of the street.
Nearest bus stop is 5 minute walk (.2 miles) for easy access to downtown Seattle and areas.
Large park is 12 minute walk (.5 miles)
Restaurants and businesses are about a 22 minute walk away (1.1 mile) or by bus.
Pizza Place, Pub, Coffee, Sushi, Gyros, & Mexican restaurant a few blocks away.

We were very happy to housesit for Frankie and Don in their beautiful Capital Hill house. They are very kind and generous hosts. Their home is well equipped for two digital nomads to work simultaneously in separate offices, both with tons of light and gorgeous views. The kitchen is well stocked with every gadget imaginable and can accommodate cooking or baking! The media room was cozy and super easy to stream all our favorites. They are very organized and labeled each plant with watering instructions, which made it super easy. The location is close to grocery stores and restaurants, which got us out and walking, as well as the close proximity to The Park. The communication was open and responsive, even with a time difference to factor in. We would gladly housesit for Frankie and Don again if we are in the area and we highly recommend them to others if you are so lucky!

I really enjoyed my stay at Don and Frankie's while they were away. Its a beautiful home in charming neighborhood. Their home is welcoming and cozy full of inspirational art, color and character. Don and Frankie were very kind, easy going and clear about their needs while they were away and I would happily sit for them again.
