Covid safe!
Hi there! I am a neat and clean, non-smoking, retired clinical social worker, who will give your home or vacation spot tender loving care in exchange for a peaceful abode while writing and finishing up my studies in functional medicine. As a former therapist and clinical social worker, I have spent my entire life being entrusted with people's deepest wounds and darkest secrets. I have worked with dying patients and persons who were seriously mentally ill. I have worked with vulnerable populations and held fragile lives in my hands. In the same way that I valued each and every one, I promise to value your home, your land, and your precious pets and plants.
You need never worry about your property when there is a mature, responsible presence there. I offer an array of long and short-term services from housesitting vacant homes in need of security to more actively caring for land, gardens and critters. I have experience in property management, house sitting, and home ownership. I understand the investment at stake in our homes, vacation cottages -- and even apartments -- in terms of time, sweat, finances, and emotional attachments. I have training in property management, gardening, tree and vine pruning, as well as hiring and working with out-sourced help. I have many excellent references -- and animals love me!
I am currently seeking longer-term situations for the winter/spring of . In the winter, my home base is usually San Diego but I am currently very interested in positions on the Oregon coast and the general vicinity of Eugene, OR, so anything in the Pacific northwest would be super -- but I'll travel far for interesting, long-term assignments, esp. Mexico, Central or South America, Europe and eastern Europe, Costa Rica, Peru, Panama, Thailand, and Ecuador.
Availability dependent on location. I will be happy to take shorter-term (1 day or more) local assignments -- pet walking, garden care, etc. -- for vacationers for a daily fee. Longer term gigs are always free.
Wishing you abundant peace and prosperity in the Now,
Pachamama
