Responsible, non-smoking, active, retired male with a "can do" attitude and a natural affection for animals.
I adapt quickly to my surroundings and blend well with people in the community. I am a history buff who enjoys the outdoors and the simple things in life. I am always relaxed with animals and they seem to feel the same with me.
Along with house-sitting assignments, I have served as a volunteer for the American Red Cross in times of national disaster. For this, I was background checked and I received valuable training and experience in handling emergency situations. The evalutions of my performances during each of my past disaster deployments are sent seperately (due to file size limitations on the site).
Physically fit and mechanically inclined, I can fix just about anything. This includes plumbing and electrical. My knowledge and experience allows me to foresee potential trouble and in general, watch everything with a keen eye. I’m not afraid to "dive in" and get my hands dirty; but I have clean habits so if anything does get dirty, it's just me, and not the house.
My partner, Cindy, joins me housesitting and in travel. She brings additional skills (i.e. plant & animal care, cleaning, cooking, navigation) to round out the team. Through Housecarers, we have made lifelong friends and have enjoyed many return stays. Cindy is also a designated Superhost on . See "The Swan Inn, Wichita, Ks" listing on the site for more information & reviews on Cindy.
Thank you for considering us for your assignment.
Cordially,
William (Bill) Morton
