We are a still active retired professional couple (English Second language Tutor with Dept of Education Qld and Registered Nurse in a high secure Nursing Unit both in the Qld Prisons and Qld Dept of Health).
We both love animals, are avid travellers and willing to consider almost anywhere.
We are proud grandparents of 8 grandchildren and regularly travel interstate visiting our family.
Our 3 beautiful pets have passed away from old age. Oscar Cat, Miss Carmen (a very glamourous rat) and our beautiful Suma Girl (pictured).
We have had very successful short term housesits in Silver Springs/Washington, USA , Anavysos, Greece , Brisbane,Queensland August/Sep 2114, Hobart, Tasmania, Jan 2016, Hervey Bay, Qld 2016, Lake Chapala, Mexico, September 2017.
In recent years, when not travelling, we have sat house and pets for family members and friends in Brisbane, Kilkivan and Toowoomba areas of Qld.
Brian retired from Nursing after 37 years in 2016 but still coaches Judo and has just retired from refereeing after 45 years now that he's turned 86. Brian has been a Judoga Black Belt for 60 years. Gained his 4th Dan Black Belt at age 64.
We had our last police checks in 2013 prior to us both visiting a Cambodian school on a TAFE teaching programme.
In an earlier life Meryll was a cartographer working for international mining companies in Sydney before moving to Qld. Brian in his earlier life drove overland from UK to India in a landrover and has sailed the Atlantic from Grand Canaria to Trinidad amongst other adventures.
We know it takes a lot of trust to allow someone into your home and being very houseproud, we are confident in promising that we take particular care in treating our house sit homes to the same standard as we do our own even attending to light gardening.
It is our intention to leave you feeling totally at ease in leaving your property and animals in our care. We've even been known to walk dogs in the snow.
We did live until recently, on a small property dependent on rain water tanks only so know the value of conserving water.
