I'm an experienced (10 years) house/pet sitter who enjoys traveling - and sitting for others enables me to do so in an economical manner. I am retired from desk jobs with the State of Tennessee and AT&T, have two grandchildren and a "semi-retired" spouse, but am not ready to stay at home all the time yet. I will treat your home and pets respectfully and kindly, as I want someone to do if they're sitting for me.
In addition to general sitting for companionship/feeding of cats and dogs, I will administer pet medications, care for and water indoor and outdoor plants, feed fish & monitor/top off pond water levels, and collect/forward mail. In the past, I've successfully taken care of emergency situations which included arranging for temporary yard and fence repairs after a storm had downed trees in the owner's yard, arranged emergency plumbing repairs, and monitored installation of windows in an owner's home (with the assistance of my construction manager husband via Facetime.)
I'm not one for getting out and running around much - my absences from your home will be for trips to the grocery store, to pick up take-out food, and etc., and I will definitely be a companion to your pets more than I will be away. It would be lovely to do some immediate neighborhood walking with your dog(s) to keep from becoming a complete couch potato.
Other information you may want to know: I'm a non-smoker, but will sit in smokers' homes. Also, I'm not a super clean freak, but I do like things clean, picked up, and tidy. My COVID-19 vaccinations and booster are a done deal (will show you my vax card.)
Thank you for reviewing my info. A Facetime interview would be great, or if you're in the Middle Tennessee area, I could meet you for a face-to-face interview. Please send your initial inquiry through Housecarers, and we can proceed from there. I have previously been engaged by individuals who utilize Housecarers to find a sitter, and I will provide local and out-of-state references.
Thanks for taking the time to read my advert.
