Thanks for considering me out of the many, many (MANY) eager and capable house/petsitters who want to be your chosen Housecarer. I’ve been told I’m the “dream house/petsitter” by Housecarer home/pet owners and here’s why...
I have done house/petsitting for 12 years in five different countries on three continents so far, and I have glowing references from all of them! Single pets and pet families have thrived under my care, allowing their owners to have carefree vacations, honeymoons, adventures in foreign countries, and time with friends and family for as little as a weekend and as long as several months.
I have loved, played with, and tended to the physical, emotional and medical needs of cats, dogs, rabbits, chickens, fish, birds, goats and rats in all sorts of different combinations. (Yes - I am an experienced rattsitter!) When we communicate, remind me to tell you about the cats who brought a 24-inch “surprise" into my bedroom, the chickens that started laying “golden eggs,” and, of course, the pet rats who liked to snuggle.
As the previous owner of a luxury rental home in Southern California, I know how important it is to take meticulous care of a nice home, and I know how to do it! Your pets will be loved, your plants will be watered, your gardens will be gardened, and you may be surprised to find your home cleaner than it was when you left it! (I have before and after photos that back up this claim.)
I am a mature (sixty-something), writer (semi well-known in the US in my niche... click the link above for my professional bio/background), non-smoking, non-partying, pet-loving, resourceful single woman.

Because the work that I do is on a computer and doesn’t require me to report to an office, I am completely mobile. Housecarers has afforded me the opportunity to chose places that my spirit is drawn to for housesitting adventures. How lucky am I?!?

I have received invitations to care for homes and pets in five different countries and have been invited back for return housesits by 100% of the homeowners. I’ve also been invited to housesit/petsit by neighbors and friends of those homeowners because of their glowing referrals. Every Housecarers client I have ever sat (sitted?) for has offered to be a reference and communicate with you so that you will know I'm "the real deal."
I’ve also found that lots of Housecarers home/pet owners like to do a Zoom/ /Facetime interview. This works great because we can see each other eye-to-eye and your pets can even meet me that way!
