I am a fully vaccinated with 2 Pfizer shots & 3 Moderna boosters.
I am a very experienced, reliable, very active, non-smoking, non-drinking, retired Human Resources Director who began pet/house-sitting as a way to tour and pursue my fly fishing passion. I pet sit because I love their company and the responsibility of taking care of them. I also find that staying in a lived-in environment is so much more enjoyable and less sterile than hotels or s.
Since Jan. 2016, I have now sat 52 homes in 14 countries (8 islands - 3 continents). I have taken care of 49 dogs (1 deaf, 1 3-legged & 1-eyed, 3 medication & 2 palliative)(7 rescued), 67 cats (1 blind, 9 feral & 2 diabetic, 5 medication), 53 chickens, 23 ducks, 3 sheep, 5 horses, 2 mini horses, 2 geese, 2 donkeys, 2 pigs, 1 alpaca, 3 fish, 60 feral guinea pigs, a herd of cattle and lots of gardens & plants. I have explored the areas I have sat thoroughly and walked over a thousand kilometres with the dogs.
My wife continues to work as a full-time professor. When she is able, she joins me. We’ve owned our home in Vancouver for 36 years & are lifelong pet owners. We currently have a doodle dog who our extended family cares for when we’re both away from home.
I commit to keeping your home and pets safe and sound. I will treat both your pets and your home the way you expect me to & recognize as both a home & pet owner how important it is to have a reliable sitter.
I am a very active person who is on the go every day. I am usually back in the in the early evening.
I enjoy touring, beautiful scenery, quaint towns, world-class cities, museums, good food & great fly fishing.
I am dependent upon having internet connection to communicate with my family.
I hope you give me an opportunity to assist you.
