I am a retired hotelier and spend the summers in British Columbia or elsewhere in Canada. I have a lovely home in Corozal, Belize. I spend the winters in Belize starting in November through to the end of May It's the best of both worlds.
While I own my home in Belize, I am searching for a home to care for while I am back in Canada, as I do not want to invest in two homes. Nor do I want to set up an apartment for such a short time, so I can put my many Hotelier skills to work to benefit a homeowner. This would allow a homeowner to go on a vacation without a worry, while fulfilling my need to have a home for 5 or 6 months.
As I have been in the hotel business for 40 years, I am very well versed in caring for a property, managing repairs or break downs in a home. I am also very careful about costs, and always get quotations if something needs to be repaired. I like to keep the homeowner informed if that is their desire.
I enjoy pets and have always owned one. I have taken all my dogs to school, so training is something I really believe in, and am quite good at.
I am honest, extremely reliable, have a good sense of humour and truly like people.
If it helps, I received the Governor General's Award for my "contribution to Canada, compatriots and tourism" in the early 90's. If you are interested we could meet through Face Time or or in Victoria when I return.
