My name is Mary and I love being in natural settings that allow me to breathe. I love connecting with people, learning, laughing and hearing about their stories and I can be a bit of a hermit.
My ideal house sit would be somewhere quiet and chilled overlooking a beautiful stretch of Mother Earth, ideally overlooking water. (The Pisces in me ;-).
I would love somewhere that is on the edge of 'active life' so a place where I can go for long nature walks, is by the sea or a beautiful stretch of water, and is in easy reach, ideally walking distance, of a local town/community, that has all of the basic and enjoyable essentials (doctor, dentist, health food store, organic healthy food places/ markets/ stores, cafes etc. Even places to sit and write, connect etc.). I love learning about experience the local culture.
I am at an interesting place in my life where I am reflecting on where I want to live next and how I want to show up in the world.
My main work has involved heavily supporting charities, small businesses and not for profits around their vision, mission, ethos, people and programmes.
I have done a lot of work designing and delivering programmes, retreats and experiences for different groups of people, especially young people around their resilience, confidence, sense of self. I also support them create and deliver community projects, and run training sessions on what it means to be a conscious leader. One of my passions is supporting people, especially the young, know themselves, love themselves and simply be who they were born to be.
I am trustworthy, reliable and conscientious. I treat people’s homes the way they would love their home to be cared for. In fact all of my reviews on constantly refer to how clean, tidy and respectful I am of other people's homes.
I love animals and grew up surrounded by them. However it sadly turns out I am allergic to most pet hairs, (so dogs, cats and for a while horses), which unfortunately means I can't do animal sits, or stay in a place where there are animal hairs.
As I am a freelancer and self employed I need to be able to do some remote, online working, so I can cover the cost of my home whilst I am away.
I am currently working with a small family Foundation that is launching an environmental, self development, leadership and storytelling programme for young people. Alongside that I host a weekly community radio show, and coach people who are struggling in life and feel a bit lost.
Which is why good WiFi is essential and a big requirement for any stays longer than a couple of weeks.
So if my honest ramble hasn’t put you off I look forward to connecting, finding out about you and your home requirements!
Wishing you all the best,
