We've been together for 17 years. Rose (42) recently retired from her job as a professor to become an academic editor, consultant, and author (location independent). Seva (53) is a professor of (many) languages and a painter. He speaks French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Ukrainian, and a little Turkish. He's working toward becoming location independent as well. We are world travelers; Seva moved to the United States in 1991 and has lived in Mexico and the United States. We have cared for friends, family, and colleagues' homes and pets in the past in addition to our housesitting adventures. Our sweet baby-cat, Maddie, died a few months ago at age 20, so we are excited about housesitting and cuddling with your animals! We miss her very much. We are neat, thoughtful, respectful, and resourceful.
Why they want to house sit
We love traveling, meeting new people, and most especially spending time with loveable, cuddly animals!
Their experience
Our current housesitting experience includes cats, dogs, rabbits, and fish. We have cared for friends, family, and colleagues' homes and pets in the past in addition to our current housesitting experience. We have had plenty of experience being long-term tenants, in addition to owning our apartment.
Between the two of us, we've had the following pets throughout our lives: cats, dogs, chickens, pigs, rats, gerbil, turtles, and fish.
What can they bring to the assignment
Seva speaks French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Ukrainian, and some Turkish. Rose speaks a bit of German. We are at ease navigating difficult situations (which hopefully won't arise), and won't hesitate to ask for help should we need it. Rose is an organizational neat freak, so she will make sure your house is clean and organized. We love animals and will be sure to treat your pet as our own.
