I am a retired licensed social worker who is not retired from life! I have a graduate degree in social work, I sing jazz professionally, I am writing a novel and I regularly solo hike the Grand Canyon in my home state of Arizona in the USA.
While I have a wide variety of skills that could make me a good match for your housesitting needs, my best character trait is my calm, solution-focused approach to any challenge.
I can maintain a home and grounds, care for all types of pets and use most power tools and gardening equipment. I consider myself a good communicator (a result of my training and temperment), I take instruction well and I work well alone or as part of a team. I love to learn and perform new tasks and to experience unusual living situations and challenges. I believe every day is a gift.
While I travel the world, I continue to own and maintain two home-based businesses. One of my homes is a rural, solar powered off-grid house that I built myself and rent out to people who want to experience solar living before they build their own off-grid homes. I transformed my other home into a program to help women transition out of drug and alcohol rehabilitation and into independent living.
Let’s begin a conversation to explore how my skills, reliability and availability match your home care and pet sitting needs.
I will consider short or long stays and last minute situations.
Thank you for your consideration.
