About Me

I've been an online ESL teacher for three years; prior to that I was a freelance tutor in history and English literature.  My BA is in international relations, and traveling in some form has always been in my plans.  I'm from California, but car culture isn't my thing.  I'm a historical fiction fan.  I review novels for the Historical Novel Society.  I would like to begin writing my own historical novels.

I had a cat for many years as a kid, and I have been fond of my brother's cats.

Why I'm Interested in House Sitting

I would like to see the world and to have space to write.  As I said, international travel in some form has always been in my plans.  To do it in a way that gives me space to begin working on a novel would be wonderful.  The chance to care for and spend time with cats makes the opportunity all the more wonderful.
