Warm Greetings! I'm Mary, currently in Costa Rica, normally based in Canada.
Now that international travel is relatively safe again, I'm happy to be returning to one of my favorite places in the world, Costa Rica! From mid-Feb to mid-May, 2023.
I’ve been taking care of friends’ places and furry loved ones over the years; and since I’m travelling, I can offer my extra diligent and amazing care for someone in exchange for a “home-base” while I’m Costa Rica.

- Multi-lingual: I speak 4 languages: Spanish, French, Arabic (in addition to English)
- Very handy, resourceful, organized, and have high standards of cleanliness
I own a house in Toronto that I'm renting, so I appreciate the trust of opening one's space to someone and the value of having someone take good care of a place.
I’m currently doing project work (curriculum development, language revitalization) online, and planning to visit different sites and projects in Costa Rica.
I've worked for over 15 years in Toronto in non-profit organizations coordinating food access programs and growing plants. This work included starting and managing community gardens and coordinating a greenhouse for 5 years.
I have many years of experience working abroad on different projects, mainly in sustainable agriculture and educational work, in such locations as Costa Rica, Cuba, and Spain.
