One of us has recently retired from post of dual head teacher and is now looking forward to making the most of life through new experiences and travel. The other has spent their past life self-employed as a structural designer/project engineer. but isn't quite sure what's next.
We've been together for 35 years and make a competent team. We've personally renovated a couple of houses in our time and appreciate the great trust that people must put in a prospective house sitter. I'm extremely practical around the house and garden and rarely do I need to call out a tradesperson to fix something. We are both meticulous in our standard of cleanliness and neither of us smoke.
We had been looking at long term vacation options when we came across this and thought that this is something that we would be very well suited for.
Our first sit was Oct-Nov '23 for 6 weeks in Brisbane Australia. We looked after the Garden and home whilst our hosts vacationed in their motorhome. That sit was through this site.
Our second sit we organised through , whist sitting in Brisbane. That sit was near Hamilton N.Z. for just over 3 weeks from Dec '23 to Jan '24, and again we looked after a home and garden, as well as some hens (the sheep looked after themselves). This garden was however considerably larger than the first.
Our third sit in Arizona (arranged again through ) was for three months from Jul '24 to Aug '24, and once more we looked after a home and garden.
I’ve added a screenshot of our N.Z. & Arizona reviews which were arranged through a different site.
Before housesitting we have rented many private properties through well known private holiday letting sites. We treat these homes with complete respect as if they were our own. I’ve added screenshots of these reviews too for reference.
(p.s. We haven't verified our profile with copies of driving licenses or passports as I'm not so sure that's appropriate to be putting out for public viewing. However, these can be made available for private viewing at the appropriate time. Thanks for your understanding.)
