Early in my career I did a lot of housesitting, while in graduate school. Those housesits often involved looking after children as well as pets. We often sat in stately homes. More recently my wife and I have begun sitting internationally.
We have always been a pet-loving family. When our chldren were young we had to limit the number of stray dogs and cats that they brought home. Pets are part of the family, and we treat your pets like family members.
Sadly, we have lost a dog and a cat within the last two years. Eventually we will bring a dog and a cat home to be part of our family, but right now we want to travel, so we woul like to give love and affection to your pets.
Our youngest son lives in the Netherlands so we travel to Europe at least once a year, usually for a few months. Therefore, housesitting is particularly attractive. Wherever we may be in Europe, we can easily travel to see our son or he can visit us.
Of course, pet sitting always involves housesitting. We take pride in returning your home just as we have found it, if not a tiny bit better. We want to be certain that when you return home you meet happy pets and a clean, tidy house.
