We are a retired couple who both love travelling. The idea of living in a residential area as opposed to being in a hotel means we will get a real feel for being in the country, not just holidaying there. We have a large garden ourselves, so are used to keeping up with mowing and watering and deadheading. I have also have a large collection of house plants, so am used to attending to those. My husband has maintained and repaired our homes for over 30 years so would be able to attend to any minor repairs if necessary. We are non-smokers and would keep any home we stay in, as clean and tidy as I do our own.
