I retired,sold my house and built out a Promaster van with solar,shower,etc. I live in the van and travel the western U.S.. I love animals and they love me. They always wind up on my lap, or licking my hand. I am an experienced handy man with plumbing and electrical skills. I am not looking for income, just a place to park, hike, mountain bike, and take care of whatever you need while you are away. I lived in Park City UT. for 9 years, and have local references there. I lived in Jacksonville FL.  for 20 years also many references there

Not much has changed.  I am still in the Van. I stayed with friends last winter. They own a   mattress store. I worked for them part time. I bought 16 acres near Pie Town NM. I am still interested in house sitting this summer... above 6000'. I prefer cats. Let me know.

David came the day before we left on our 17 day long trip so we could get him acquainted with our husky, Shanti, and know where things were in the house and learn Shanti's routine.  We are glad he was so accomodating to come early because we got to know him better. What a great person! David immediately bonded with Shanti, and spent time petting him and walking him, even before we left. We have a very large, complicated garden, and I hadn't gotten my irrigation system completely automated like I'd intended,  but he agreed to take care of my various beds of flowers and vegetables.  Talking to him, he is so nice, warm and interesting to talk to, we immediately felt at ease with him taking care of Shanti and the house.  Knowing that David is also very handy, having constructed his whole van to be a mobile self sufficient home, was great too.  David communicated very well by text while we were traveling, always telling us how Shanti was doing, and what was going on. Often he was taking Shanti on a walk, which is great because he needs lots of exercise. We could tell Shanti was perfectly happy while we were gone from the picture David sent of him sprawled all over David's bed looking very relaxed and comfy in his new "favorite spot".  When we came back, the house and garden was in perfect order and all was well. Shanti was of course glad to see us, but I know he'll miss David too. We recommend David without hesitation to care for your home and pets.
